Ryu: Welcome to the New Members of the Editorial Board
It is our pleasure to announce that eight new members have joined the Editorial Board of Neurointervention. To globalize our journal to an international level, I invited new members from nationalities outside of Korea. I am deeply grateful to these new members who have accepted our invitation even though our journal is just beginning.
All eight new members have made significant achievements in the neurointervention field. It would be difficult to fully demonstrate their excellence in the field of neurointervention in one short paragraph each. Clearly, their experience and passion for neurointervention ensure that the new editors will strengthen the base of expertise among our editorial board as well as help provide the additional support necessary for the timely processing and review of submissions.
I would also like to thank the existing editors who recommended these new members to me. Without their thoughtful recommendations, it would have been very difficult to invite appropriate new members to our journal.
We are honored to introduce Ronit Agid, Tommy Andersson, Harry J. Cloft, Hiro Kiyosue, Seon-Kyu Lee, Jianmin Liu, Yasushi Matsumoto, and George Kwok-Chu Wong.

Dr. Agid earned her M.D. degree from the Hadassah and Hebrew University Medical School, Jerusalem. She is a graduate of the Hadassah University Hospital Residency of Radiology and completed her fellowship in Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at the University of Toronto. Agid is also in charge of Quality Control and Morbidity Mortality Rounds in the division of Interventional Neuroradiology and a member of the REB committee of the University Health Network. She was awarded a best paper at the ninth Congress of the World Federation of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology (WFITN). She has extensively published the results of clinical studies and basic research investigations. Dr. Dong Jun Kim, who is a member of the editorial board, has introduced Dr. Agid to the editorial board.
Tommy Andersson, M.D., Ph.D., has served as the head of Neurointervention and the director for Education in Neurovascular Treatment at Karolinska University Hospital since 2002.
