Reflecting on EACoN in Conjunction with KCNI 2025: A Milestone in East Asian Collaboration

The East Asian Conference on Neurointervention (EACoN) in conjunction with the Korean Congress of Neurointervention (KCNI) 2025 successfully concluded its collaborative mission on December 12 and 13, 2025 in Seoul (Fig. 1). Fulfilling the vision set forth prior to the event, this congress solidified its role as a pivotal platform for exchanging expertise and advancing cerebrovascular health across the region.

The event witnessed robust international engagement, welcoming a total of 262 participants from 17 nations. While domestic participation remained strong with 167 attendees, the congress notably attracted 95 overseas experts. The participating nations included Australia, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam. This diverse assembly underscored the growing influence of East Asian neurointervention on the global stage.
The scientific program was designed to drive innovation and refine clinical practice, featuring 61 presentations across oral and e-poster sessions. Key sessions addressed critical topics such as acute ischemic stroke, cerebral aneurysms, and shunt lesions. Highlighting the congress’s commitment to practical education, the Hands-on Workshop provided immersive training utilizing advanced devices from eight industry partners. Furthermore, the “Japan-Korea Friendship Case Conference” exemplified the spirit of bilateral cooperation, facilitating deep discussions on complex clinical scenarios. Excellence in research was further recognized through the Best Oral Presentation Awards, which were bestowed upon researchers including Dae Chul Suh, Ahmed Albaqshi, Yunsun Song, Byung Hyun Baek, and Yu Zhou.
EACoN in conjunction with KCNI 2025 has successfully reinforced the foundation for international collaboration in neurointervention. We extend our deepest gratitude to all participants for making this event a dynamic forum for progress, and we look forward to continuing this legacy of shared knowledge and innovation in future congresses.
